Back in 2014, I created the Dorset in the Great War website, with the aim of commemorating those from the county who served during the Great War. A major part of this site, was and still is, to list all those who are remembered on war memorials around Dorset. At the time, I was undertaking a web design course at a local university, and thought that this site would be a worthwhile project with my newly learnt skills.

I had managed to add several memorials and information to the site, but after a year or two, other commitments in life meant that the site had to take a back seat for a while. I kept saying to myself, I must update the site, and also give it a well overdue redesign.
The old site was created and run with Adobe Dreamweaver, but with other options now available to me, I have decided to move to a new, and less time consuming web builder.
After several years running the increasingly outdated site, I am happy to announce the new site is up and running! Over the coming weeks I will be working hard to amend any errors that occur, and re-word much of the existing content.
Please so have a look at the site if you can. It can be viewed at www.dorsetinthegreatwar.co.uk
